The College Financing Plan (Financial Aid Shopping Sheet)
The College Financing Plan is a consumer tool used to notify you of your financial aid package. it is a standardized form that is designed to simplify the information you recieve regarding your costs and financial aid so that you can easily compare institutions and make informed decisions about where to attend school.
The CFP is available to all students and can be accessed through the Student Self-Service portal.
Included in the CFP is the following information:
- Estimated total cost of your program
- Estimated cost of living expenses
- Other types of financial aid, not adminisered by VA and offered by the university, that you may qualify to receive
- Estmated amount of loan debt you would have upon graduation
- Information regarding graduation rates
- Information regarding job-placement rates for graduates (if available)
- Information regarding the acceptance of transfer credits (including military credits)
- Any addtional requirements including training, experience or examinations that are required to obtain a certification for which your degree prepares you for the future.
GI Bill™ Benefit Eligibility and In-State Tuition Rates
If you are utilizing the GI Bill™ to help defray the costs of your education, whether or not you are a PA resident, you are eligible to receive in-state tuition rates. This applies to veterans and their dependents. The Johnny Isakson and David P. Roe, M.D. Veterans Health Care and Benefits Improvement Act of 2020 (P.L.116-315) provided for Provision 1005, Requirements for In-State Tuition.
As a Veteran, or eligible dependent, you may be able to receive entitlement funding based upon a service obligation.
A Mansfield University School Certifying Official will act as the liaison between you and the Department of Veterans Affairs, and will certify your attendance for benefits to which you may be entitled. The following is an overview of the options a Veteran or eligible dependent may be able to receive to assist them in funding their education.

Paying for College
This site can be used by prospective students to enter the names of up to three schools and receive detailed financial information on each one and to enter actual financial aid award information.

A consumer planning tool and resource to assist prospective students and their families as they evaluate options in selecting a school.
College Navigator
A consumer tool that provides school information to include tuition and fees, retention and graduation rates, use of financial aid, student loan default rates and features a cost calculator and school comparison tool.
Net Price Calculator
Utilizing the Net Price Calculator, you will be able to estimate your costs to attend Mansfield University, as well as explore the grants, scholarships, and other aid programs you may be eligible to receive.

Eligibility
To receive Veterans Education Benefits while attending Mansfield University, you must establish eligibility under one of the following programs:
- Chapter 30 - Montgomery GI Bill® - Active Duty (MGIB-AD)
- Chapter 31 - Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Service
- Chapter 33 - Post-9/11 GI Bill®
- Chapter 35 - Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance Program (DEA)
- Chapter 1606 - Montgomery GI Bill® - Selected Reserve

How to Apply
Please log into your My.Mansfield account and click on GI Bill Certification Request. Fill out the online form and submit.
Deployment
If you are called to active duty, we want the withdrawal process to be easy and quick. Please contact Michelle Novitske in the Registrar's office located in 224 South Hall at 570-662-4874 or mnovitsk@mansfield.edu and provide a copy of your deployment papers. If you are called to serve in the middle of a semester, an "M" grade will be listed on your trasncript until you are able to complete the course.
Re-Admittance after Deployment
If you choose to return to MU after deployment, there is no need to re-apply. Please contact a School Certifying Official, at veterans@mansfield.edu or 570-662-4826 and let us know when you plan to return. The process for utilizing your educational benefits will remain the same.
