Alumni Association Student Leadership Scholarship
A scholarship for a full-time junior or senior Alumni Ambassador. Recipient must have at least a 2.5 GPA and have demonstrated leadership activities over the past academic year.
Lewis & Hazel Barden '30 Memorial Scholarship
A scholarship for a student who has financial need. General scholarship guidelines apply.
B. Foster & Marlene Borck-Wetmore Scholarship
A scholarship created by B. Foster and Marlene Borck-Wetmore, for a sophomore who has at least a 2.8 GPA and is aware of the importance of a college education. Student must have attained at least a B average in the Math/Science field excluding Environmental Science.
E. Edward Brown Music Theory Scholarship
A scholarship for a Piano major with the highest GPA during their first two years of Music Theory. |

An award for an Education major who has excelled academically. General scholarship guidelines apply. |
Class of '55 Scholarship
A scholarship established by donations from the Class of 1955 for full-time students entering either their junior or senior year with at least a 2.5 GPA.
Class of '56 Endowment
A scholarship for an Education major established by donations from the Class of 1956. Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
Class of '58 Endowed Scholarship
A scholarship established by donations from the Class of 1958 to be used to off-set the cost of tuition or room and board. It is awarded to a student who has demonstrated financial need and at least a 2.75 GPA.
Class of '59 Endowed Scholarship
A scholarship established by donations from the Class of 1959 to be used to off-set the cost of tuition or room and board awarded to a student who has demonstrated financial need and has at least a 2.75 GPA.
Claverack Rural Electric Cooperative
A scholarship for a student who is a member, or dependent of a member, of the Claverack Rural Electric Cooperative. Preference is given to students involved in Youth Tour. Students must also have demonstrated financial need, leadership & community service.
Albert Dalmolen Memorial Political Science Scholarship
A scholarship for a junior or senior Political Science major who demonstrates both financial need and devotion to community service. |
David J. Dick Memorial Scholarship
A scholarship for a junior or senior with outstanding conducting or vocal performance skills. Selected by the Music Department Scholarship Committee. |
Van W. & Katherine R. Emmons '72 People First Scholarship for Social Work
A scholarship for a Pennsylvania resident who has financial need, at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA and demonstrated community service.
Harland & Beverly Evans Family Scholarship
A scholarship given to a grad student who is at least part-time and has at least a 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to a non-traditional student.
Ralph H. Evans Scholarship
A scholarship for a returning Accounting, Business, Management or Marketing major from Tioga or Bradford County PA with at least a 3.25 GPA.
Gladys Frick-Weaver Nursing Excellence
An award for a senior Nursing major who has at least a 3.0 GPA and has completed at least six semesters of coursework at MU.
Arlyne Garrity Memorial Communications Scholarship
A scholarship for a student majoring in communications, who has earned at least 32 credits, has a 2.75 cumulative GPA and a 3.0 GPA within their major. Students must also be active in departmental activities and/or service to the university and/or community. |
Ronald G. & Betty B. Goodwin Leadership Scholarship
A scholarship for a resident of PA or the Southern Tier of NY. Students must be involved in leadership activities at Mansfield University and have at least a 2.65 GPA. Student may not have any other renewable awards.
Hendricks '79 H2S Scholarship
A scholarship for a student with demonstrated financial need with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. The recipient will have a measurable commitment to community service; preference will be given to students who show promise and potential as leaders on campus; students participating in athletics, band, chorus, or other student life programs may be eligible for this award. |
Scott Holtzapple '87 Scholarship
A scholarship for a sophomore CJA major who has at least a 2.7 GPA and financial need. $500 is awarded in fall to a male athlete (preference given to a sprint football player) & $500 in the spring to a female athlete.
Albert L. & Dr. Marcella Hyde-Smith Scholarship
A scholarship for a junior Education major who has at least a 3.0 GPA and has demonstrated community service in the past academic year.
JBJR Scholarship
A scholarship for a Political Science major who has demonstrated financial need and who is in good academic standing. General scholarship guidelines apply. The award is renewable.
Katherine E. Keller Memorial Book Award
A book award for a sophomore majoring in Nutrition who is also an active participant in the Student Dietetics Association.
Keller Leadership Scholarship
A scholarship for a Psychology major who has at least a 3.25 GPA and has demonstrated community service over the past academic year.
Janice Kennedy & Annie Cooper International Student Scholarship
A scholarship for a full time international student with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7. Student must have contributed to the campus community by participating in student organizations, activities, forums, or other community involvement projects. Preference is given to students who demonstrate financial need. |
Dr. A. Vernon Lapps Scholarship
A scholarship for a full-time Communications major who has demonstrated need and at least a 2.5 GPA. Students must have completed at least 45 credits.
Lee Music Education
A scholarship for a full time student majoring in Music Education with a special interest in voice and/or piano and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5; financial need is considered; a recommendation from your primary applied teacher is required along with a resume indicating an interest in teaching, e.g. camp counselor, church choir director, currently teaching private lessons, etc. |

A scholarship for a student majoring in Communications who also demonstrates financial need and has at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. |
Sandra B. Linck Childcare Assistance Endowment
A stipend for the daycare center on campus. The student must have a child enrolled in the Sandra B. Linck Childcare Center and cannot be receiving any other scholarships from Mansfield University and be of half-time status.
Lippert Foundation Scholarship
A number of awards through the generosity of the Lippert Foundation for students who have at least a 3.0 GPA and have completed at least 24 credits.
Loeschke Leadership Memorial Scholarship
A scholarship created by the late Mansfield University President, Dr. Maravene Loeschke. The award is for a student who has at least a 3.0 GPA. Recipient must be a proven leader on campus and/or in the Mansfield community.
Lona Rose D'Angelo Memorial Scholarship
A scholarship for a student who resides in either Bucks or Luzerne county who has at least a 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to a student athlete.
Mabe Memorial Scholarship
A book scholarship a student with a Women's Studies minor who demonstrates academic excellence and a commitment to promoting women and gender issues.
Manning Athletic Award
A scholarship for a student who is either an MU basketball or baseball team player; recipient must be a senior of good character as demonstrated by such things as grades, community and/or campus involvement and conduct as a member of the MU basketball or baseball team and demonstrate financial need. |
Mansfield Association of Educational Office Professionals (MAEOP) Book Award
A $300 book scholarship to be used at the campus bookstore sponsored by the university's educational office professionals; priority is given to a non-traditional student from Tioga County.
Lawrence B. Mansfield Greek Book Award
Two book awards given to a fraternity member of both Sigma Tau Gamma and Sigma Alpha Epsilon; each with the highest cumulative GPA's within their respective fraternity.
Joseph Maresco Leadership Endowment
A scholarship created by former Vice-President of Student Affairs, Joseph Maresco, and his wife MaryAnn. The scholarship is for a student with a minimum 2.5 GPA, and who makes a contribution to activities that serve the University community.
Edward S. Masavage Award
A scholarship for an outstanding senior Nursing major awarded by the Nursing faculty.
Richard F. Mason Space & Science Endowment
Scholarships for graduating seniors majoring in Astronomy, Physics or Chemistry who plan on attending graduate school.
Mattis Memorial Athletic Scholarship
A scholarship for a junior or senior student athlete in good standing on any of the MU athletic teams; good character as demonstrated by such things as academic performance, community involvement or campus involvement outside of your participation in a sport and positive leadership; demonstrated financial need is considered and preference given to members of the fellowship of christian athletes. |
McConnell Choral Award
A scholarship for a full time, upper class female student with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA; must be a member of the concert choir. |
Mary McInroy-Sheffer Scholarship
A scholarship for a student who has registered for student teaching for either the Fall or Spring of the 2017-18 academic year; minimum 3.0 GPA; student must present themselves in a manner that promotes respect and a positive image of teaching; student must write a position paper on the importance of character in the committed teacher and provide three letters of reference which speak to the student's character and commitment to teaching. |
Marilyn Melhuish Elementary Education Award
A scholarship for a full-time student majoring in Elementary Education who has earned at least 64 credits with at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA; a sophomore award (minimum of 32 credits); financial need is considered; must submit a narrative describing his/her service and volunteer work and the reason for applying for this award. |
William Merryman Nursing Scholarship
A scholarship for a student enrolled in the Nursing program with at least a 3.5 GPA; non-renewable. |
Ralph H. & Carol A. Meyer Endowment
Scholarships available to FT students with at least a 3.0 GPA who demonstrate financial need; preference given to sophomores; students must manifest promise or outstanding academic success.
Corrine L. Miller Scholarship
A scholarship for an academically successful junior or senior Elementary or Special Education major who has competed at least 64 credits. It is awarded by the Education Department and is renewable if awarded to a junior.
Most Promising Math Teacher Award
A scholarship for a senior Math Education major who has excelled academically. Awarded by the Math Department.
Timothy & Christina Mulroy Award
A combination need and merit based $500 award for a Business major who is also a PA resident; preference given to a York County resident with potential to succeed.
Music Scholarship
Scholarships for upper class students who have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA and who have completed 32 credit hours. |
Dr. Ishrat Mustafa Scholarship
A scholarship for a female international student who has at least a 2.75 GPA and who has a demonstrated need; help for room and board costs.
Nursing Faculty Award
An award for an exceptional junior or graduate Nursing student who has attained at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA. Awarded by the Nursing faculty.
Jacob Oberly Earth Science Scholarship
A scholarship for a Earth & Space Science or Science Education major who has attained at least a 3.5 GPA. Awarded by the Geosciences Department.
Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union (PSECU)
Scholarships for students with at least a 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to students who are members of PSECU.
Perfect Song Scholarship
A scholarship for an English major who has excelled academically and has the highest need at the time of awarding. Awarded by the English Department.
Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society Award
A scholarship for a senior History major who is also a member of the Alpha-Iota-Beta chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society. Students must be enrolled in at least one history course and have attained at least a 3.5 GPA. It is awarded by the History faculty.
Phi Delta Kappa
A scholarship for a student who graduated from an area high school in the following counties: Bradford, Lycoming, Potter, Sullivan, or Tioga, PA; must be enrolled in a teacher preparation program with at least 40 credits and a 3.0 cumulative GPA. |
Amy Place Barnes Nursing Endowment
A scholarship for a Nursing student who has both need and at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Louie Pompei Memorial Scholarship for Criminal Justice
A scholarship for a junior or senior who has demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to sprint football players.
Psychology Scholarship
Two annual scholarships awarded to Psychology majors who demonstrate outstanding character, integrity, scholarship, and campus or community service; renewable for a second semester based on academic performance; must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. |
Pursell Educational Scholarship
A scholarship created by Rodney and Donna Pursell for a junior or senior who has obtained at least a 2.5 GPA; general scholarship guidelines apply. Preference given to a member of the sprint football team.
Mary A. & Robert H. Rodine Scholarship
Awards for full-time students who are from Lackawanna or Luzerne Counties; student must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
Carl Ruck Music Award
A scholarship for students who are instrumentalist, vocalist, keyboard, performance, or music education majors and have an overall GPA of at least 3.6; preference is given to a resident of Luzerne County, PA, then PA resident; must be a junior and a B in major applied instrument or voice and in all music theory and history courses; a recomendation from major applied instrument or voice professor is required and must be active in service to the community through performance off campus, participation in service organizations and projects, community outreach, etc. (submitted to the Music Department Scholarship Committee). |
Sanner Memorial Scholarship
A scholarship for an English major who has demonstrated academic merit. Students must have earned at least 30 credits.
Seidel Scholarship
A scholarship for a Psychology major in good standing with a GPA of at least 3.0; a student athlete playing men's or women's basketball, women's softball, or men's baseball preferred. |
Arthur B. & Martha Story Sharpe Scholarship
A scholarship for a Nutrition major started in memory of Arthur B. Sharpe and Martha Story Sharpe, both of whom attended Mansfield University. Students must reside in Clinton or Wyoming county PA.
Shirey-Cromley Yellow Ribbon Endowment
A merit based scholarship for a Veteran who has been honorably discharged with at least a 3.0 GPA.
Simonson-Price Book Award
A scholarship for a sophomore student majoring in Elementary Education; a minimum 3.2 GPA is required and the student must have need; student's deportment should show a positive image of teaching and must be of exemplary character while exhibiting leadership qualities and participation in campus or community organizations. |
Slabey Award
A scholarship for a Computer Science major with at least a 2.7 cumulative GPA; financial need is considered.
Soufan Endowment
A scholarship for an international student with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA and demonstrated financial need. Established by alum Ali Soufan.
Richard Springman Memorial Scholarship
A need-based scholarship for a returning CJA major with at least a 2.5 GPA and evidence of community service.
Karen Starner-Jacobson Scholarship
Scholarship(s) honoring the memory of Karen Starner-Jacobson available to members of Delta Zeta Sorority who have been sisters in good standing for at least one year. Successful applicants must be currently active within the chapter with at least a 2.7 GPA and have successfully competed at least 64 credits by the end of the spring 2020 semester.
Stebbins Voice Award
A scholarship for a Music major created by the Mansfield Men's Chorus in honor of Carla Stebbins. |

Ina G. Tabor Social Work Scholarship
A scholarship for a senior Social Work major who has attained at least 91 credits and a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Students must reside in either Bradford, Potter or Tioga county, PA.
Harold E. Terry Endowment
A scholarship for a junior or senior Geography, History, or Political Science major who has obtained at least a 3.0 GPA.
Elden & Marjorie Tewksbury Scholarship
A scholarship for an Education major from the southern tier of New York who has achieved academic success and participated in community service over the last academic year.
Dr. & Mrs. John M. Thomas Nursing Scholarship
A scholarship for a student majoring in nursing; must have financial need and at least a 2.75 GPA. |
Tioga County Association of Township Officials Scholarship
A scholarship for an active township official or township employee or child or grandchild. Preference is given to Political Science majors. If there is no eligible Political Science major, consideration will be given to students majoring in Education, Criminal Justice or Business Administration.
Tioga County Commissioners First Responders Scholarship
Scholarships for Tioga County, PA residents who are also First Responders and majoring in Nursing, Criminal Justice Administration, Biology, Geography/Geology, Safety Management or Natural Gas Production; must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be an active volunteer firefighter or EMT.
Michelle Towers Memorial Scholarship
A scholarship for a female Elementary or Special Education major who has at least a 3.0 GPA; students are selected based on service and commitment to teaching and must complete an application and essay about the concept of service and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and community service. |
Tri-County Rural Electric Cooperative Scholarship
A scholarship for a full-time student who is a member or dependent of the Tri-County Cooperative and has financial need as demonstrated by the FAFSA; applications must be submitted through the local Tri-County office.
Dr. John D. Trimmer Scholarship
A scholarship established in 2007 by retired MU professor Theodore Slabey to honor his friend Dr. John D. Trimmer. Professor Slabey was a professor in the Business and Computer Science department at MU. Students must be non-traditional (25 years of age or greater), have demonstrated financial need and at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
University Senate Scholarship
A merit-based scholarship for a junior or senior with at least a 3.25 GPA who participates in extracurricular activities.
Valts Athletic Award
A scholarship for a student athlete with financial need and at least a 2.0 GPA. |

A $1,000 scholarship for a senior Secondary Education major who has demonstrated leadership and community service over the past academic year. Student must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA. Awarded by the Education Department.

A scholarship for a Business major with at least a 3.0 GPA and demonstrated financial need. |
