Alumni Memorial

A scholarship for a student showing academic success funded by donations from MU Alumni. General Scholarship Guidelines apply.

Blair

A scholarship based on merit for a returning student who has excelled academically.

Borck-Wetmore

A scholarship created by B. Foster and Marlene Borck-Wetmore, for a sophomore who has at least a 2.8 GPA and is aware of the importance of a college education; must have attained at least a B average in the Math/Science field excluding Environmental Science.

Chemung Canal Trust

A need-based scholarship for a student residing in Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben or Tioga County in NY. The student may also reside in an area serviced by the Chemung Canal Trust Bank.

Class of '53

A scholarship established by donations from the Class of 1953. Preference is given to a Legacy of '53 graduate. General Scholarship Guidelines apply.

Class of '54

A scholarship established by donations from the Class of 1954. This scholarship is awarded annually to a student majoring in Education. The student may be a sophomore, junior or senior. General Scholarship Guidelines apply.

Class of '55

A scholarship established by donations from the Class of 1955 for full-time students entering either their junior or senior year with at least a 2.5 GPA.

Class of '56

A scholarship for a returning Education major established by donations from the Class of 1956; student must attain at least a 3.0 GPA.

Class of '57

A scholarship established by donations from the Class of 1957. General Scholarship Guidelines apply.

Class of '58

A scholarship established by donations from the Class of 1958 to be used to off-set the cost of tuition or room and board; awarded to a returning student who has demonstrated financial need; must maintain at least a 2.75 GPA and is an upperclassman. Further consideration is given to non-traditional students.

Class of '59

A scholarship established by donations from the Class of 1959 to be used to off-set the cost of tuition or room and board awarded to a student who has demonstrated financial need, maintains at least a 2.75 GPA, and is an upperclassman. Further consideration is given to non-traditional students.

Class of '60

A scholarship established by donations from the Class of 1960. General Scholarship Guidelines apply.

Class of '61

A scholarship established by donations from the Class of 1961. General Scholarship Guidelines apply.

Class of '62

A scholarship established by donations from the Class of 1962. General Scholarship Guidelines apply.

Criminal Justice Administration Scholar Recognition (Eric Williams) Award

A scholarship for a Criminal Justice major who has excelled academically. General scholarship guidelines apply.

Evans Family

A scholarship given to a grad student who is at least PT and has at least a 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to a non-traditional student. General Scholarship Guidelines apply.

Ralph H Evans

A scholarship for a returning Business major from Tioga or Bradford County PA with at least a 3.25 GPA.

Farrer-Powell

A merit based scholarship for a Dietetics/Nutrition major who has excelled academically. General Scholarship Guidelines apply.

Finn-Kuritz

A merit based award for a Dietetics/Nutrition major who has excelled academically. General Scholarship Guidelines apply.

Gladys Frick-Weaver Nursing Excellence

An award for a senior Nursing major who has at least a 3.0 GPA.

Ronald G. & Betty B. Goodwin Leadership

A scholarship for a resident of PA or the Southern Tier of NY. Students must be involved in leadership activities at Mansfield University and have at least a 2.65 GPA.

Heaps & Neff

A scholarship for a returning student who has excelled academically. General Scholarship Guidelines apply.

Holiday Greeting Card

A merit based scholarship made possible by funds donated by MU Staff, Faculty and Administration during the holiday season; general scholarship guidelines apply.

Human Resources Departmental

A $500 scholarship based on both merit and need for a Psychology major who is emphasizing in Human Resource Management. The student must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Applications available through the HR office in Alumni Hall.

Hunsicker

A need-based scholarship for a male Education major who has excelled academically.

Keller

A book award for a sophomore, junior or senior majoring in Nutrition who is also an active participant in the Student Dietetics Association.

Krise-Carl

A merit based scholarship for a student who resides in Lycoming County PA and who majors in Elementary Education; general scholarship guidelines apply.

Sandra B. Linck Childcare Center

Need-based scholarships available to student(s) who have a child(ren) attending the on-campus Sandra B. Linck Childcare Center and who are not receiving any other scholarships from the University. The student must be at least halftime.

Loeschke Leadership Memorial

A $700 scholarship created by the late Mansfield University President, Dr. Maravene Loeschke. The award is for a student who has at least a 3.0 GPA. Recipient must be a proven leader on campus and/or in the Mansfield community.

Mansfield Association of Educational Office Professionals (MAEOP) Book Award

A $300 book scholarship to be used at the Campus Bookstore sponsored by the University's Educational Office Professionals; priority is given to a non-traditional student from Tioga County.

Joseph Maresco Leadership

A $1,000 scholarship created by former Vice-President of Student Affairs, Joseph Maresco, and his wife MaryAnn. The scholarship is for a student with a minimum 2.5 GPA, and who makes a contribution to activities that serve the University community.

Mason

Scholarships for graduating seniors majoring in Astronomy, Physics or Chemistry who plan on attending graduate school.

Nancy C. Matylas Prutsman

A $350 scholarship for a returning student who has excelled academically; general scholarship guidelines apply.

McInroy Sheffer

An $800 scholarship given to a senior Education major with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Members of the Military

A combination merit and need based scholarship for a student who is also a member of the military; general scholarship guidelines apply.

Merryman

A $750 merit based scholarship for a Nursing student who has at least a 3.5 GPA.

Meyer

Scholarships available to FT students with at least a 3.0 GPA who demonstrate financial need; preference given to sophomores; students must manifest promise or outstanding academic success.

Mulroy

A combination need and merit based $500 award for a Business major who is also a PA resident; preference given to a York County resident with potential to succeed.

I Mustafa

A $1,000 scholarship for a female international student who has at least a 2.75 GPA and who has a demonstrated need; help for room and board costs.

Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union (PSECU)

$500 scholarships for students with at least a 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to students who are members of PSECU; general scholarship guidelines apply.

Paskvan

Scholarships for sophomore, junior or senior History majors; general scholarship guidelines apply.

Pursell

A $400 merit based scholarship for a Sprint Football player who has at least a 2.5 GPA; general scholarship guidelines apply.

Mary A. & Robert H. Rodine

Awards for full-time students who are from Lackawanna or Luzerne Counties; student must have at least a 3.0 GPA.

A. Hugh Schintzius

A $1,500 scholarship established by Mr. Hugh Schintzius, a former faculty member at Mansfield University for an international student who has at least a 2.5 GPA.

Schipbanker

Merit based scholarships for Art majors; general scholarship guidelines apply.

Sharpe

A $750 merit based scholarship for a Dietetics/Nutrition major from Clinton or Wyoming county PA; general scholarship guidelines apply.

Sheehe

A $500 merit based award for a returning Math major; general scholarship guidelines apply.

Shirey-Cromley Yellow Ribbon

A $500 merit based scholarship for a Veteran who has been honorably discharged with at least a 3.0 GPA.

Soufan

A $500 scholarship for an international student with at least a 3.0 GPA.

Richard Springman Memorial

A $500 need-based scholarship for a returning CJA major with at least a 2.5 GPA and evidence of community service.

Karen Starner-Jacobson

Scholarship(s) honoring the memory of Karen Starner-Jacobson available to members of Delta Zeta Sorority who have been sisters in good standing for at least one year. Successful applicants must be currently active within the chapter with at least a 2.7 GPA and have successfully competed at least 64 credits by the end of the spring 2016 semester.

Harold E. Terry Endowment

A $500 scholarship for a junior or senior History, Geography, or Political Science major with at least a 3.0 GPA.

Tioga County Commissioners First Responders

Scholarships for Tioga County, PA residents who are also First Responders and majoring in Nursing, Criminal Justice Administration, Biology, Geography/Geology, Safety Management or Natural Gas Production; must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be an active volunteer firefighter or EMT.

Trimmer

A $600 scholarship for a non-traditional student with financial need; must have at least a 3.0 GPA.

University Senate

A $1,000 merit-based scholarship for a junior or senior with at least a 3.25 GPA who participates in extracurricular activities.

Ward HMAC Manufacturing

Scholarships available to employees/children of Ward Manufacturing; general scholarship guidelines apply.

Wooley

A $500 merit-based scholarship for a non-traditional North-Penn High School, PA graduate; general scholarship guidelines apply.

York-Glimm

Merit based scholarships for English majors who have excelled academically while at MU; general scholarship guidelines apply.

Gladys B. Young Memorial

A $1,000 merit-based scholarship for a Biology major who has at least a 3.5 GPA. 

Youth Leader

Merit based awards given to Tioga County, PA freshman who have had the honor of being chosen as a Youth Leader of Tomorrow.
