Statement on preferred lenders for 2009-2010
Mansfield University will not issue a preferred lender list for 2009-2010. This applies to both Stafford and PLUS loans.
Students and parents are encouraged to use our preferred method of processing by going online to www.aessuccess.org and choosing any nationwide lender for whom AES is the guarantor. Loans processed using AES are certified and disbursed electronically. This means that we are better able to help you if there is a problem with your loan and your loan funds will arrive much faster.
Students and parents that prefer to use a guarantor other than AES/PHEAA are welcome to do so, but will have to submit a paper Master Promissory Note (MPN) complete with the lender and guarantor codes. Incomplete MPN's will not be processed. Please be aware that if you prefer a non-AES guaranteed loan, we are limited in our abilities to assist you if there are problems and it could potentially take longer for your loan funds to arrive.
Students have the right and ability to select the lender and guarantor of their choice.
